We love being part of the community here in the beautiful Southwest Metro suburbs of the Twin Cities — and we know you do too! It’s an exciting time of year to do and see things in the community and we want to share some of those events with you. Here are some great ideas for holiday fun in Chanhassen, Eden Prairie, and the surrounding areas.
-Looking for some laughter as you gear up for the holidays? Find out how a lefse contest fairs against an annual community Christmas pageant in Chanhassen Dinner Theatre’s all-new “Our Hometown Christmas Pageant,” running through December 30th.
-Share the joy of Christmas at a formal holiday tea put on by the Arboretum in Chanhassen. Enjoy freshly baked sweets, savories, and more at this holiday event, offered on multiple dates and time slots through December 29th.
-Feel like braving the cold in exchange for some winter’s night ambiance? Join the Carver County Park Department’s on January 26th for their Cross Country “Ski by Candlelight” event. Traverse the snowy terrain on candlelit paths, while sipping hot cider and eating s’mores by a bonfire.
-Rev up your rootin’ tootin’ wild side this holiday season with the original musical comedy performance “Christmas on the Ranch: a Cowboy Musical,” showing at Plymouth Playhouse. Running now through January. Fun for the whole family.
-Are you thinking “alpine chic?” The people at Bachman’s are! Visit their “Holiday Ideas House” at the Lyndale location in Minneapolis to see 100s of creative home décor and entertaining ideas for the holiday season. (Including their spin on traditional Christmas décor— entitled “alpine chic”). Through December 16th.
